BBSG prepared business proposals for air carriers from Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and United States for one of the biggest airports in Central & Eastern Europe.
Scope of our work
BBSG prepared a set of arguments for route discussions with airlines. Airline Information Packages contained detailed demand analysis, qualitative analysis of the airport’s catchment area, identification of sources of traffic on defined routes, analysis of passenger volumes of competitive airlines, presentation of the airport’s commercial offer. In addition, the packages contained a benchmark analysis of competitive airports.
Value and benefits
Airline Information Packages developed by BBSG were used in business negotiations with airlines and constitutes for the client a benchmark for preparation of similar studies of this type in future.
Important finding
The prime challenge for airports is to develop and implement a long-term comprehensive programme for air traffic development not just “shoot” one carrier with different types of subsidies. An airport should “hunt” not “poach”.
